System update (Trial Version) (2 December, 2021)

 

STAR platform's new functions (Trial Version):

Rating function is added in open-ended questions (applicable to Reading, Listening and Speaking assessment tasks of Chinese language, and subject to assessment task design)

 

Besides entering comments, teachers can select rating for open-ended questions after students' submissions by referring to the task attachment.

In teacher report, a green icon indicates that the question has been marked with teacher's comment or rating. Teacher can view the rating in the paper report.

Student can view the rating in the individual report, or click the green icon to view submitted answer and teacher's comment.

Remarks:
1. If the paper report is shared by multiple teachers, all teachers will share the same rating option for the same student submission.

New graphical presentation of performance reports

 

Paper analysis for computer-marked and open-ended questions are presented in two separate charts.

Distribution of ratings for open-ended questions per each basic competency or learning objective are presented in bar charts. (applicable to Reading, Listening and Speaking assessment tasks of Chinese language)

Additional summary and paper analysis are added to the individual report, students can understand their learning performance in the assessment.
